Dreadtober 2023 Prep!! Lamenters Ballistus dreadnought

 In preparation for Dreadtober 2023, I printed a true-scale space marine dreadnought.  There are a bunch of options in the excellent file (sadly got struck by GW's lawyers after it was released), but I chose to build it with the options to play as a Ballistus dreadnought, because my Lamenters are sorely lacking in antitank firepower in 10th Edition. The file has the armor panels sculpted separately from the rest of the hull, which is a beautiful thing as it lets you prime them separately, huzzah.  So I used AP spray primers to prime the mechanical bits in shiny silver, and the armor panels etc in Daemonic Yellow that I will use to build up to my final yellow.  There will be freehand stuff on the armor panels (beyond the obligatory checkering and chapter iconography), details to be released later after I get more done on the concept art.  Below: the primed pieces, some slotted together because it looks cooler that way.  #40K #Dreadtober #Dreadtober2023
